Privacy

Party Privacy Institute (PPI) collects the minimum amount of data needed to operate the directory. The only analytics used are cookieless and aggregated — no individual visitors are tracked, no third-party trackers follow you across the web.

What is collected

Email addresses you submit to the newsletter, and form submissions you send through Suggest a venue or Contact.

Aggregated visit data via GoatCounter: the page URL you viewed, the referring URL, browser family, and country. No IP addresses, no individual identifiers, no cross-site tracking.

Stored in your browser only

Your dark/light theme preference is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and is not visible to PPI or any third party.

What is not collected

No cookies. No personally identifiable tracking. No tracking pixels, IP logs, device fingerprinting, or behavioral profiling. If you don't type anything into a form, the only thing recorded is an anonymous page view.

How it's used

Newsletter emails are used only to send occasional updates about new venues and the directory. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

Form submissions are read and used to evaluate venue listings or reply to your message. They are not shared, sold, or used for any other purpose.

Third-party services

The site uses a small number of third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

Newsletter: Buttondown.
Form intake: Formspree.
Analytics: GoatCounter (cookieless, aggregated, no personal data).
Hosting: Cloudflare Pages.
Fonts: Google Fonts (loads font files when the page renders; Google may receive request metadata).

Retention

Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Form submissions are kept indefinitely unless you request deletion.

Your rights

You can request to see, correct, or delete your data at any time via the Contact page.
